Poker Professionals Vs. AI?

At Carnegie Mellon University, there is an AI Program known as Claudico, the most unique computerized poker program in the world. What is so interesting about this program is that it went up against four professional poker players in a No Limit Texas Hold’Em poker game. Over 80,000 hands were played over a two week period held at Rivers Casino. In an attempt to determine if Claudico could beat these four players, the result was deemed unreliable. How could this be? Well, it seems that with more than 80,000 hands of Texas Hold’Em hands played, only three out of the four professionals came out ahead of Claudico, a sum not significant enough to deem them winners over the AI Claudico. After the two week challenge and more than $170 million in bets, it seems that the human factor is still the major factor in real intelligence. Thanks the heavens!
