Crap Rules

Craps is played by choosing and betting on a specific number that you think will come out when the dice is rolled. Thus, you can place a bet on the Pass Line or the Don’t Pass Line. The player will try to roll a 7 or 11; a 2 or 3. If you win, even money is paid out. But, if you don’t roll a 7, 11, 2, or 3; then whatever number does come up is the “point” number. For example, if you roll a 5 then that is the point number and you need to roll it again before getting a 7. If you do, however, roll a 5; then the bet you originally made remains on the table. Play is continued until you either win or lose on the pass or don’t pass lines.

Field Bets

This is a one-roll bet where you win if a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, or a 12 is rolled. If you roll a 2, you will get double money, and if you roll a 12 you will receive triple money, otherwise the payout is even money (1:1). If any other number is rolled, you lose.

Craps Strategy

Come Bets: These are bets made after a point has been rolled. Bets are placed on the Come Field which includes numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. If you roll the dice and your point number comes out, you win. But if you roll a 7 before your come point comes out, you lose.

Don't Come Bets: This bet is the same as if you placed a bet on the Don’t Pass Line.

One Roll Bets

All one roll bets participate only in the roll immediately following the placement of the bet. Here are the top 3 one-roll bets:

Field Bet: This is placed on the field. The bet wins if a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 are rolled and loses if a 5, 6, 8 or 7 are rolled.
Any Craps: This is placed on the any craps field. The bet wins if a 2, 3 or 12 are rolled and loses if 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 7 are rolled.
Any 7: This is placed on the any 7 field. The bet wins if a 7 is rolled and loses if 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 are rolled.
