You may have seen my review of the New Tales of Egypt, and I recommend you read that review. The original slot is called the Tales of Egypt, and the only difference is that instead of Cleo, we have a woman archeologist play the lead role in this game. The rest of ancient Egyptian theme-based symbols, as well as those awful cards are presented in this game.
About the Game
The Tales of Egypt is a 5-reel, 20-payline bonus video slot. The max bet coin bet per line is 10, and the max bet is $100 per spin. The Jackpot is a cool $5000! There is an Auto Play button as well as the Turbo Spin button when you hold down the space bar. As an aside, when you do hold down the space bar, the reels do not spin, but simply replace each other. So if you enjoy the spinning reels, you have a choice. I totally recommend you read the 6-page pay table as it contains the symbols, payouts, special features, and rules of the game. This slot is akin to the newer slot game, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The symbols are as stunning as the newer slot, except for the card symbols.
Playing the Game
The Woman Archeologist is the Wild symbol and if you get all five will win $5000. When she appears in a winning combination, you will receive high payouts as well. The second highest paying symbol is the Cat. Get all five to win $2500. This is followed by the Bird, the Scarab, and the Anubis. They pay from $1750, $1250, and $1000, respectively when you get all five. There are also 4 card symbols. The Ace and King will pay out $600, and the Queen and Jack will pay out $500, when you get all five appearing on the reels. On my first spin, I won $950 with the max bet in the regular game.
The Scatter and the Wild
The Great Pyramids of Egypt are both the wild and scatter symbols. Get all five to win 200xs your bet. When you get 3 or more Great Pyramid symbols anywhere on the reels, you will trigger Raiding the Pyramid in which you can win up to 10 free spins. Moreover, you can win unlimited spins as well. When you get three or more Scatter symbols while Raiding the Pyramid, you will win additional free spins with a multiplier. All wins are multiplied by your bet per line. When you get a Wild symbol on the reels, it changes into another symbol giving you the chance to win additional payouts. This is fabulous!
Raiding the Pyramid Round
This is my favorite part of the game. Before the Free Spins round begins, a random symbol is chosen out of the character symbols. The chosen symbol will act like a scatter symbol during the next free spins round. You can win with it anywhere on the reels and it will pay according to the symbol’s pay table.
A New Way of Saving Time
As I mentioned in other Top Game reviews, what makes their games so interesting is that if the first symbol or the first two symbols match, then the rest of the reels will spin. If the first or first two symbols do not match, the reels will immediately spin again. Great idea guys!
Conclusion
