France Legalizes Online Gambling

It was announced today that France has legalized online gambling. This is great news for European gamblers! In our recent article on European Online Casinos, we mentioned that there was an ongoing debate in France as to whether or not this would be feasible.

Apparently, with the pressure from other European countries to get on board, France has finally acquiesced and now several companies from the UK are competing for the online licenses including Party Gaming, 888 Holdings, and others.

There is still the matter of enforcing the laws and reports state it may not be fully effective until next year. Nonetheless, this is a great day for European Online Casinos!
