MGM and Boyd Gaming Team Up with Bwin Party

It was reported in the last two days that MGM Resorts and Bwin Party, owner of World Poker Tour, are gearing up to return to the US. As you may know, Bwin merged with Party Gaming, a company who left the US in 2006. Now, it seems, the push is on for the legalization of online gambling, and Bwin and MGM are in the center of this discussion. It must be noted that these companies will only pursue online gambling if Congress repeals the UIGEA Law. If you recall Black Friday, several popular poker sites were shut down by the Department of Justice. Once again, it remains to be seen if Bary Frank, who spearheaded the repeal of the UIGEA Law, will prevail.
