Online poker giant PokerStars is Doing it up Good

Online poker giant PokerStars, has been trying to complete the acquisition of the Atlantic City Casino, a mobile app targeted at US Market and the latest schedule release for their hugely successful online poker tournament, SCOOP - 2013 Spring Championship of Online Poker. How does PokerStars wind down after bidding to take over the Atlantic Club casino in New Jersey, it launches a free-to-play mobile app in the US for iOS and Android devices.

The PokerStars.net app gives players access to tournaments, their fast-fold Zoom product, the chance to play on multiple tables and a chat function. This launch is the first aimed at the US Market on a free to pay basis and went live in the Apple App store optimized for iPhone and iPad.

Further, the online poker room continues to advance with the completion of its NJ application followed by a 90-day investigation period by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement marking the first steps to completion of the Rational Group eventually taking ownership of Atlantic Club.

The official release of the SCOOP 2013 schedule of events for May 12-26 has been announced, as PokerStars plans this year to be the biggest and most exciting of them all. Features 44 events (132 tournaments) across low, medium and high stakes levels, SCOOP is the only tournament series in the world to offer the same tournament at three different buy-in levels simultaneously.

PokerStars is catering to low, medium and high stakes players, novices or veterans the chance to easily take part and have fun competing for life-changing amounts of money. Buy-ins for SCOOP 2013 range from just $5.50 to a high-rolling $21,000!

The SCOOP schedule is as follows

The Main Event, with $109 (Low), $1,050 (Medium) and $10,300 (High) buy-ins respectively, will take place on the final day of the festival, with $1 million (L), $2 million (M) and $3 million (H) guarantees. There is more too including:

• Event 1 - NL Hold'em [6-Max] - $27, $215, $2,100 buy-ins
• Event 20 - NL Hold'em [Turbo, Zoom] - $27, $215, $2,100 buy-ins
• Event 32 - PL Omaha [Turbo, Zoom] - $27, $215, $2,100 buy-ins
• Event 39 - PL Omaha [6-Max] - $55, $530, $5,200 buy-ins
• Event 40 - NL Hold'em [Heads-Up, High-Roller] - $215, $2,100, $21,000 buy-ins

In addition to this there are the 8-Game and HORSE tournaments which attract many professional "mixed game" players and often finish with final tables full of famous players. Plus, SCOOP 2013 will incorporate the new 5-Card Omaha, 5-Card Omaha Hi/Lo and Courchevel games, along with other exciting formats like Super-Knockout and Ante Up events.
