It took some exhaustive measures, but the Tohono O’odham Nation of Arizona has been given the go ahead to open a brand new casino on December 20. The name of the new casino is the Desert Diamond Casino, and will employ more than 500 people. Although the House of Representatives tried to block it (no surprise there); they did not have enough votes to do so. And so, another new land-based casino will open, much to fanfare of Arizonians.
