Horseshoe Casio Council Bluffs is worth noting because of its 5-star rating. With about 16 casinos operating in Iowa (not all land-based), this particular casino caught our attention due to its gaming and entertainment. Iowa was the first state to implement Riverboat gambling, but unlike other states, it has totally embraced land-based gambling on a huge scale. Built in 1995, the Horseshoe Casino has over 68,000 sq. ft. of space devoted to all manner of casino games, from 1600 slots, to 73 table games, to 18 poker tables. Next door is the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, and for those of you who are familiar with Jack Binion’s Steak House, there is one there too. Also next door to the casino is an RV Park and Greyhound track. One other note of interest: While some states have a minimum and maximum betting on the very low side, Horseshoe Casino has a minimum bet of $1 to a max of $10,000. Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs is a winner in Iowa.
