Rhode Island Didn’t Get the Memo Re the UIGEA Law
How is it that after the UIGEA Law was overturned, Rhode Island still can't decide what is gambling and what is not gambling? And there's the rub in this state. There are only two casinos operating in Rhode Island: Twin River Casino, which recently added poker tables; and Newport Grand Slots Casino, which offers 1000 slot machines as well as Keno, Poker, Roulette, and Blackjack. Although Massachusetts, which has plenty of casinos is only a hop, skip, and a jump from Massachusetts where patrons can enjoy gambling on a larger scale; Rhode Island has gone by way of online gambling, and very successfully so.
