Bodog Makes Plans for its Anonymous Poker Series
This might seem controversial to some people, but popular Internet gaming firm has announced that it will be launching new poker promotion. However, it will be anonymous. Bodog plans to launch its “Anonymous Poker Series.” This will be a combination of a live poker promotion that is based on Bodog’s Poker Network.
Why Anonymous?
There are many poker players that welcome the plans for anonymous poker gaming. It is seen as just Bodog showing that it will not accept the traditional route of online poker rooms that have poked fun at Bodog and its ability to carry out a successful promotion.
When Bodog changed its rules to allow anonymous play at its poker tables, some critics stated that this gaming firm would not be able to offer promotions and tournaments after this. This gave players more anonymity, and they were not identified by name to anyone playing at their poker table. Instead, Bodog devised a way to use unique computer generated numbers to attach to each poker player at the tables.
This increased the popularity of Bodog with players, because the weaker ones were no longer bait for “poker sharks” to track and take advantage of. Bodog was now labeled a poker friendly website.
