Online Gaming In New Jersey Will Be Limited to 10 Year Trial Period

In an unprecedented step to try and help the dwindling profits of the Atlantic City Casinos in New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie has stated that he will try and help the decline of the profits of the Atlantic City casinos by approving online gambling in the state of New Jersey for a 10 year trial period. This dramatic change in tactics comes after years of discussions on legalizing online gaming in New Jersey and his vetoing of online gaming as recent as 2012. In 2012 Atlantic City saw an 8% slump in revenue and with the amendments that Christie proposes to the online gambling law, he believes that there will be surge in ogling gambling in the state that will also help the dwindling incomes of the land casinos. As a result of this dramatic decision, there has been a surge in stocks and shares of the local and international online casinos that operate in the US.
