The new Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, Iowa will be opening during 2016 and they will have some incredible offerings for players. The plans for this casino are an amazing 900 slots and 30 table games. There is plenty of room for guests in the 107-room hotel. Special events are catered for in the 1,500-seat event center. Dining offerings are a buffet, a fine dining restaurant, a deli and a sports bar. Other offerings for players' comfort and enjoyment are the show lounge, feature bars, plenty of retail, an exclusive VIP area, relax and enjoy the spa, keep in shape and good health at the fitness center and pool.

Riverboat gambling will be a thing of the past in the Quad Cities area. The new Rhythm City Casino officially broke ground on Thursday, June 4th and is expected to open on the Memorial Day weekend in 2016.

This new casino/hotel will have easier access, much more comfortable accommodation. The design is more of a resort destination, a vast improvement on the days of the riverboat.

Recently the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission gave Kehl's Elite Casino Resorts approval for consolidation of Rhythm City, Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood, and Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside under unified management. The Kehl family were pioneers of the riverboat casinos. They received the first of Iowa's gambling license during 1990.

Rhythm City is expecting employment to double to approximately 800 when it opens and the total number of employees for the three casinos to be over 1,500 employees. The CEO of the company says that their company generates about $250 million in annual revenue and that they are the second largest producer in the state.

Bill Gluba, the mayor of Davenport, said this venture will lead to approximately $250 million in new taxes for the city of Davenport. This is a record amount in a single area.
